MeeGo situation is gratifying third-party support company

By Intel and Nokia joint development of Linux-based operating system recently propitious MeeGo, a large number of third-party companies began to actively support and participate actively in the development, including Acer, ASUS, BMW, electronic art, make a donation, wangwei, Italian law Ericsson (Editor's Note: STMicrolectronics and Ericsson joint creation of the company), and other giant company.

MeeGo camp in 27 companies either in hardware production (such as Acer, ASUS, Italian law Ericsson), or engaged in software development (e.g., electronic art, make a donation, wangwei), but the BMW company is rather special. Indeed, normally you may not think that auto manufacturers will care about such things, but the BMW company's in-car navigation system uses but Moblin system (Editor's Note: MeeGo system's predecessor) so a BMW's participation is also logical.
